Once the treated fat cells are crystallised (frozen), they are destroyed and are naturally processed and eliminated from the body. When the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good. Coolsculpting discomfort is mostly experienced during the treatment itself. After 5 minutes of cooling the treated area goes numb. It’s possible to feel some discomfort from the numbness caused by the freezing applicator. When the cycle is finished, the treated area will be massaged for 2 minutes, which often is the most uncomfortable part of the procedure, but most of our patients find this very bearable.
