what is facetite?

FaceTite is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to target and tighten loose or sagging skin on the face and neck. The procedure aims to achieve results that are comparable to a surgical facelift but without the need for large incisions, extensive downtime, or significant surgical risks.

HOW FACETITE WORKS?

  • Radio-frequency Energy: FaceTite uses a device that delivers RF energy below the skin’s surface. This energy heats the underlying tissues, causing collagen contraction and promoting collagen production. The result is tighter, smoother skin.
  • Minimally Invasive: The procedure involves making tiny incisions through which a thin probe is inserted beneath the skin. This probe delivers the RF energy, ensuring it reaches the targeted tissues.
  • Reduced Downtime: Unlike a traditional surgical facelift, FaceTite typically has a shorter recovery period. There may still be some swelling, bruising, or tenderness, but it’s generally less severe than that of more invasive surgeries.
  • Results: The tightening effect can often be seen immediately after the procedure, but optimal results, especially from collagen production, might take a few months to become fully apparent.
  • Safety: Like all procedures, FaceTite carries some risks, but they are usually minor when compared to surgical interventions. Potential side effects can include bruising, swelling, pain, and the risk of burns from the RF energy, though the latter is rare when performed by an experienced practitioner.
  • Duration: The procedure can usually be done in an hour or two, depending on the areas treated.

    FAQS

    What is FaceTite™?

FaceTite™ is a minimally invasive facial contouring procedure that aims to tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of sagging or loose skin on the face and neck. The procedure uses radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) technology to deliver targeted energy underneath the skin. The device consists of a cannula, which is inserted under the skin, and an external electrode that stays on the skin’s surface. When activated, the FaceTite™ device heats the tissue to stimulate collagen production and contract the skin, which in turn leads to a tighter and more youthful appearance.

The procedure is often touted as an alternative to more invasive options, such as facelifts, and usually involves less downtime and fewer side effects. However, the results may not be as dramatic as those obtained through surgical methods. Patients may experience some swelling, redness, or bruising after the procedure, but these side effects are generally temporary.

Always consult with a qualified medical professional to determine if FaceTite™ or any other aesthetic procedure is appropriate for you. Keep in mind that technologies and techniques in cosmetic procedures evolve, so more recent information may be available.

    What’s the Key Advantage?

One of the key advantages of FaceTite is its ability to tighten the skin along with removing fat. The radiofrequency energy heats the skin, causing collagen fibers to contract and stimulate collagen production, leading to skin tightening. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity.

How long does it take to heal after BodyTite™?

You can expect to return to your normal activities, including work, after 2 or 3 days. Returning to more intense activities requires some more time and is usually possible after 3 – 6 weeks although this is dependent on the individual treatment. We can discuss this with you during your consultation.

Does FaceTite™ have any side effects?

You can expect swelling, tenderness, and bruising after your treatment for up to a week but you can be rest assured that this is normal.  The incisions are small and heal quickly without stitching necessary. We will also dress this area at the end of the procedure.

    Does FaceTite™ hurt?

Our doctors perform FaceTite™ treatment under local anaesthetic which is injected into the treated area.  We will always make sure that you are comfortable throughout the procedure.

What can I expect during a FaceTite™ treatment?

During your consultation, the area to be treated will be assessed by your practitioner. Numbing solutions will then be introduced under the skin to eliminate the pain or discomfort of the procedure. During the procedure, your surgeon will create small entry points, approximately 2-3 mm wide. This allows the FaceTite™ cannula to enter under the skin and deliver radiofrequency to extract fat cells. The procedure takes approximately 1 to 2 hours depending on the size of the area being treated.

    Am I a suitable candidate for BodyTite™?

FaceTite™ is an ideal treatment for anyone wishing to get rid of stubborn areas of fat whilst also enhancing the look of sagging, wrinkled skin. FaceTite™ can be used on:

    • Face
    • Neck
